Waterproofit TN has been fixing East Tennessee crawl spaces for 5 years, out of an office on 445 South Gay Street in Knoxville. Not a franchise, not a storm-chaser, and not a general contractor who does crawl spaces between other jobs.
Why crawl spaces only
A narrow trade, done properly
Most companies that will fix your crawl space also fix roofs, pour concrete and rebuild kitchens. There is nothing wrong with that, but it means the person under your house this week was on a roof last week.
We picked one thing. Our crews are under East Tennessee houses every working day, which means they have seen your problem before — the limestone seam that routes half a hillside into one corner, the perched water that appears partway up a wall on the plateau, the uphill wall that takes all the pressure on a mountain lot. That familiarity is the whole argument for using a specialist.
It also means we turn work down. If you have a settling foundation, a finished basement or a mold problem that needs a licensed remediation contractor, we will tell you that on the phone rather than sending someone out to find a way to sell you something.

Straight answers
The things we will tell you that others might not
Sometimes the fix is cheap.
A crawl space problem is often a gutter problem. When extending a downspout is most of the answer, we say so — even though it costs us the bigger job.
A drain manages water, it does not stop it.
Anyone promising a permanently dry crawl space without looking at where the water comes from is selling you something.
Encapsulation is not always the answer.
It is the most expensive thing we do. Plenty of houses need a barrier and a dehumidifier, and we will quote that instead.
Some settling does not come back.
A floor that has dropped over forty years may not return to level, and forcing it cracks everything above. We tell you what is realistic first.
